First 30 miles

The first 30.5 miles are down! Only about 2,138 more to go...It had been unseasonably warm here in Georgia, but we can't complain about the lack or rain or all the sunshine! The first few days have been a bit rough, lots of sore muscles and not so great sleep. I'm pretty sure we had owls in our tent the other night. Barred owls we going crazy in the branches above our tent. On the bright side, it is beautiful here, we've seen some spectacular views, some of which I have pictures of, depending on how winded I was when we got to the top. All the warm weather has caused the wild flowers to come up early, I don't know what they are but I like them! Staying at a hostel in Neel Gap tonight (a shower was much needed) and back on the trail in the morning. Hope to be out of Georgia in the next few days!
